NEW MARKET, Md., Aug. 11, 2017 — After five years of remission, Ewing’s Sarcoma is back. Lily, now, age 16, is older, wiser, stronger, and ready to beat cancer again. She can do it with your help in the return of the Lily’s HOPE 5K run and walk, hosted by the West Winds Tennis and Fitness Center in New Market, Md. The 5K will begin promptly at 9 a.m. on Sunday, Nov. 12, 2017.
Lily has not been sidelined — or silent — while cancer-free during the past five years. Lily has constantly given back to her community through PPF and Lily’s HOPE, helping other families who are faced with cancer. Last year, Lily became a childhood cancer advocate with TheTruth365, speaking in front of thousands demanding that childhood cancer gets more than 4 percent of funding.
Lily has a tough road ahead of her with treatment, however, we know with Lily’s twinkling personality, her strong faith, and the love of family, friends, and this community, cancer won’t know what hit it.
